Anti rattle gaskets for aluminium rails Blackout tape for aluminium rails Gaskets for timber stud
Anti rattle gaskets for aluminium rails
These are our gaskets and associated products for aluminium rails. If you’re not using horizontal trims then we recommend that you choose a gasket that will completely cover the face of the support otherwise the colour of the timber on the joints will be visible. Always check with the panel manufacturer’s specification to ensure you have the correct gasket. If in doubt, we’d be glad to help.
This self adhesive tape not only covers the rail face so that the gap between the panels is black rather than silver but also prevents the rails and panels from vibrating in strong winds creating an 'anti-rattle' effect. This method is considerably more cost effective than powder coating the support rails.

Gaskets for timber stud
Most panel manufacturers stipulate that you should use a rubberised gasket between the panel and the supporting timber to prolong the life of the battens.
These gaskets provide a seal around the fixing that prevents water ingress in to the wood and can dramatically reduce degredation of the material and therefor the strength of the fixing.
